Program Overview

The Security Systems Technician program at BCIT is designed to equip students with the skills necessary to install, maintain, and repair alarm systems that protect people and property. Program Structure

The Security Systems Technician program is a 28-week full-time course divided into two levels:

  • Level 2: Involves advanced installation and troubleshooting of various security systems, including a mandatory four-week work experience practicum with a licensed alarm company.
