Academic Requirements

The Aviation Operations (AVO) program has specific academic requirements that applicants must meet to be considered for admission. Below are the details:

Applicants must possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or an equivalent qualification, or be a mature applicant.
English: Grade 12 C or U, or an equivalent course is required.
Mathematics: Grade 12 C or U, or an equivalent course is required.

For Canadian citizens and permanent residents, the English and/or mathematics requirements can also be satisfied through successful Seneca pre-admission testing.

It is recommended that applicants who do not meet the academic subject requirements consider upgrading their qualifications.

For international students, in addition to the admission requirements, it is essential to select your home country for specific information. All international applicants must meet Seneca’s English requirements. Additional documents or assessments may be required upon request.

Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

Language Requirements

All applicants to the Aviation Operations (AVO) Diploma program must demonstrate proficiency in English. The following English proficiency tests are accepted:

CAEL CE and CAEL online: Minimum 60
Cambridge English Exams (B2 First/FCE, C1 Advanced/CAE or C2 Proficiency/CPE): Minimum 169 with no skill below 162
Duolingo: Minimum score 105 to 110
IELTS Academic: Minimum 6.0 with no skill below 5.5
PTE Academic: Minimum score 58
TOEFL (including MyBest TOEFL and Home Edition): No skill below 4 out of 6 (or 20 out of 30)

Please note that the requirements listed above are the minimum cut-offs, and meeting these does not guarantee admission. Highly competitive program seats will be offered to the most qualified applicants based on ranking from highest to lowest.
