Program Overview

Take your passion for design and urban environments to the next level in UBC’s Design in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urbanism program. This program is designed to explore how design impacts society and the environment, emphasizing the shaping of space and its effect on cultural change. Students will engage in small studios and intimate seminars, allowing for a personalized learning experience with award-winning faculty who are internationally renowned experts in their fields.

Program Structure

The Bachelor of Design in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urbanism program at UBC is structured to provide a comprehensive education over a 4-year period. The program includes:

  • Core design studio sequence that begins with foundational skills and culminates in the design of complex spaces.
  • Hands-on practical experience through collaborative work projects and interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
  • Optional co-op program, allowing students to combine their studies with full-time, paid work at top local and international organizations.
