  • Perform maintenance, assembly, fabrication, and repair of small and large structures on fixed-wing or rotary-wing aircraft using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunctions or other issues in structures, instruments, and related components, and utilize technical manuals, drawings, blueprints, technical orders, and performance and safety standards.
  • Disassemble and reassemble aircraft frames for repairs.
  • Assess the structural integrity of aircraft frames before and during disassembly to prevent further damage.
  • Design and create damage and repair reports, using design criteria to develop repair solutions.
  • Identify and employ modern manufacturing techniques.
  • Perform weight and balance calculations to ensure accurate aircraft information.
  • Interpret written instructions, diagrams, manufacturer specifications, technical drawings, manuals, and computer information while carrying out routine and ad-hoc tasks.
  • Maintain detailed records and reports of inspections, repairs, maintenance, and certifications to meet industry regulations and logbook requirements.
  • Conduct all tasks according to health and safety regulations, manufacturer specifications, Canadian Aviation Regulations, Transport Canada guidelines, and company policies.
